CO-FOUNDER, GENERAL COUNSEL
Mr. Jones has been with MBD Solutions since its founding in 2013 and now leads the corporate strategy and day-to-day operations of the Firm. He has more than twenty years’ experience in due diligence, compliance, law and product development in alternative investments.
Prior to MBD Solutions, Mr. Jones served in various legal and compliance roles, most recently as Vice President of Alternative Investments at WFG Investments, Inc., where he was responsible for managing due diligence and providing oversight of their alternative investment platform. Mr. Jones earned his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law.
OPERATIONS
In her role of Managing Partner, Ms. Leishman brings more than sixteen years’ financial services experience to the firm. She is currently responsible for the organization and oversight of daily sales and investor facing transactions. Additionally, she works closely with registered representatives, investment advisors, transfer agents and investors to ensure a seamless investment experience.
Prior to joining MBD Solutions, Ms. Leishman served as the vice president of Shareholder Services with Behringer Harvard. During her eleven years’ tenure there, she directed the operations of the Shareholder Services and Technical Operations teams working closely with fund Sponsors and transfer agents. Prior to this, Ms. Leishman was employed by The Vanguard Group, Inc.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
In her role of Partner, Ms. Howard is responsible for MBD Solutions’ corporate business development which includes sales and national accounts, in addition to consulting on marketing strategies and sourcing capital.
Ms. Howard has over nineteen years’ experience in alternative investments with a specialization in non-traded REITS, private placement offerings (under Regulation D) and private equity offerings. Prior to joining MBD Solutions, Ms. Howard held positions in sales, sales management and national accounts at Cole Capital, Lightstone Securities, Bluerock Real Estate, Realty Capital and as a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley.
DUE DILIGENCE
In his role of Partner, Mr. Malcom is responsible for corporate and offering specific due diligence, in addition to oversight of portfolio performance and finance for MBD Solutions’ platform offerings.
Mr. Malcom has over 22 years’ experience in due diligence, including head of due diligence for Triloma Financial Group, American Realty Capital, CNL Securities Corp., and AIG Advisor Group. He was also the head of financial due diligence for The Bowman Law Firm. Mr. Malcom received his M.B.A. in Finance from Georgia State University.
